Judith Dubin was born in California in 1938 and grew up in Santa Maria and Lancaster. While attending UCLA as an English major, she worked in the composing rooms of several newspapers. Although she was focused on a writing career, the opportunities emanating from the evolution of mechanical to digital printing production methods enticed her to become a computer programmer. After 47 years of designing and developing complex information systems, she has retired and resides in Central Illinois. Until she retired, writing poetry was always on her mind, but never on her busy agenda.
